Tai Chi classes for beginners:
Going for a moderately paced walk everyday has an amazing affect on the body. It increases the heart heart, blood flow and helps to maintain good balance. Walking allows us time to slow down and to sit our thoughts making it a great method of active meditation.
Heading to a body of water once a week if possible. Water is soothing and grounding which helps reduces stress and increase relaxation.
Going for a bike ride is great exercise and can offer an easy alternative to transit or driving. More and more cities are implementing bike shares so take advantage of them.
We often forget to take of ourselves during times of difficulties. Taking a moment to slow down, to take a deep breath and focus on YOU is key. Show yourself some love!
Have a warm bath with epsom salts and essential oils like lavender, rose, frankincense, palo santo, clary sage... and enjoy for 15-20 minutes to get the most out of quiet time.
Do get yourself dressed everyday. Put on clothes that make you feel good. Style your hair. Ladies, throw on some make-up if that's your thing. When we put our best selves forward it makes us feel good inside.
Give yourself rest days, an actual day of doing nothing. We sometimes catch ourselves running off our feet and forget to stop, take a few breaths, read a book - just chill!
